That Brother machine looks like it might be from the 60s but definitely not from the 30s. It looks very much like the one I got in 1964.

Well, just look at this gem... only $400! The table is in SUCH good condition. And imagine the seller calling Sears and finding out how UNIQUE this machine is! ROFLOL

I hope that the (Sears) people got a good laugh out of this like I did. But it is nice to know that the good folks at Sears knew some (misleading) things about a Singer is pretty good. I wonder if they know anything about Pfaff's. Or better yet, Kenmores!:D

It's a shame that people can't be more creative and believable with their sewing machine lies.

I'm beginning to wonder if making up all sorts of lies helps sell sewing machines??? Do they actually sell these machines or do they just collect emails and phone numbers so they can sell them???

Even with the Penguin, this guy is dreamin'.

Add about $100 to that and you are good. Manuals are free at http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals just scroll down to search - before that is a box you put in 301 and hit search. Then you will have the option of a $15 manual or printing out a free manual.

Thanks for the information above, Miriam, saved me $10 & paypal headaches!!!! hugs!

Mark, Totally agree with you minus the price of the Penguin walking foot. That is about right.

Did they ask any of you?
"any repair person can tell you, these things can be "dropped out the back of a semi trailer driving 70 on the interstate"- and still be fixable."
