Yep, everything for the Morse in interchangeable with the Singer 15 - at least so far! I am not sure about the cabinet -- I haven't tried that!

Thanx Nancy, that's good news to me. . . . I'm on the hunt!

She was lucky there wasn't more wrong with that "unpacked" package. I DO love my FW.

I gasped when that picture loaded. Some people's stupidity is like a bottomless well.

Speaking of this, I sent a message to an ebay seller whose machine I was interested in. I asked him if he ever shipped a sewing machine before, successfully. Then I asked him if he would do such and such in packing it (the whole schmeel) and he has not responded. Guess it would have arrived like the featherweight, or worse, had I bought it from him. Always ask. Or don't buy on Ebay.

What's up with EBay Sellers? My hubby buys vintage pitcher sets and suddenly two have arrived broken this week! Then they get all flustered when you give them a bad rating. Really glad the FW arrived safe; preserving the past is important.

Anybody got any ideas? It's driving me up a wall. I was just sewing on this a couple months ago. I 'think' I may have had this same issue then but i'm not sure what I did to fix it..lol

Sorry if you already said, but where did all of the machines come from    ???

Judy

A friend of mine has one that is similar--I THINK she said it was made in Germany. I'm going to have to ask her about that.
As for the red one, I've been collecting a long time, and other than the red Vikings, I don't believe I've ever seen a red machine.

....Just read your reply a few minutes ago, then started browsing sewing machines on eBay (as you do on a brisk Sunday morning) and by strange coincidence, came across this machine.

<ebay.com.au> item # 170626634773

Btw, if anyone is considering buying it, just remember that if it's an Aussie model the motor will probably be 240v.
