If only I had the Knowledge of Miz Johnny. The pile of machines in the basement (about 20) are the portables. A mix of modern and perhaps a couple of touch & throws, which I use for loaners and on-the-road classes. They are the reason I'm trying to collect the 221's & 301 class machines. The darling little students like to push buttons and turn knobs, ("But I didn't touch anything . . .") then I spend the rest of the class trying to trouble shoot machines, rather than teaching sewing.
We'll be getting a real 4-H center in July, and I can move most of these cabinets into the Life Skills Lab. By not having the kids in my house, I'll regain my personal sewing space. I'll miss the kids being here, but It'll be good to see my own space back. (DH laughs, I can't have space - I'll just fill it up.) I do wish he's get the machines out of the van so I can start cleaning them and get pictures and inventory. I know one of the machines needs to be rewired, one needs a belt, and the treadle needs a belt, but otherwise, I think they are intact and will be easy to get going. Oh, one of the miscellaneous items with the attachments was a bobbin tire. One of the machines I got before I had surgery needs a tire. BINGO

The only picture was one from the backside and I requested a pic from the front to make sure what I thought was correct. The minute I got the email with the pic, I sent one right back telling the lady I wanted it. She just wanted it out of her garage. All this took a week and at one point I thought she had sold it because she was so slow (IMOP) in responding to my emails. Patience is what I learned through this transaction.
