Nancy,
I'm sorry to hear that Tarzan died. Big hugs. He's playing with all my dogs over the Rainbow Bridge. http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm Sharon W. |
Two Spools fans look at this! I am guessing by looking at these that they are both Two Spools even though one is an Eldridge and the other is a National.

Here are a few pics of the Davis NVF that my DH picked up for me in San Jose over the weekend. It needs some cosmetic work but it sews beautifully. I figured out how to thread it and took a few stitches. The belt is too loose, and it has some krazing. I will use Billy's tutes to fix her up. Included were lots of attachments I have not had time to study yet. I even got the original receipt from 1919, and a history on the family that owned it.

Davis, New Home, Standard, White, Domestic, Kenmore, Free-Westinghouse, or National. (list from the book by Charlene Phillips, The Sewing Machine Attachment Handbook) Evidently there are 12 different sizes of these top clamp attachments that all fit different machines... |
nickylsf,
You did good! Wow what a lovely machine and cabinet. Sharon W. |

Here are some pic's of my new babies the 15-91's (the yellow towel is the covering for the 15-91 we got in the case in NH) first
then the 301, then Ray  Questions: those deep scratches, any quick fix? Or wait to redo if necessary? 301 ugly spots: same question, can I get rid of them, what are they and have they already damaged the finish? 15-91 back 15-91 deep scratches 15-91 ouch front of 15-91 and orig book 301 front 301 back fungus among us???? Nancy, so sorry to hear about your little dog. Like someone else said he is happy at Rainbow Bridge now.

greenini,
I have a 301 that has the little spots on it like yours. Do you happen to know what causes that. Mine has so many I call her Dotty. Dotty sews a great stitch and seems to like her name. |
