So pretty! She looks like she'd be the belle of the dance. :)

You need to hop on down to Dallas and get this one!!!!!! Very interesting!

Yeah, well, I put it up so someone else might see it and save me a trip. :-D Unfortunately the wallet can't stand any more sewing machines just now, but it is pretty! Reminded me of Muv's lovely little Vesta.

I would like that Vista it is a nice machine.

can anyone recommend a vintage repair person in the DFW area, just bought hand crank singer '22 and he needs a bath and a tune up beyond my meager mechanical abilities!

She is just a true beauty Glenn. I love her and those drawer pulls are so unique!!! You did a great job, as usual.

DD called tonight and said she drove by SA and saw a treadle machine outside. The cabinet is in bad, bad shape, but the machine looked "ok", but not great. It's a "New Defender". Ever heard of it?? I think she would pick it up for me, if I asked. Do I or don't I?? That is the question!!! I keep telling myself "One more machine and that will be a 301!!!" LOL!

I'm not sure this is appropriate to post this here, but I can't resist. If you want to do some fun shopping for machines, try this site: http://www.bismanonline.com/content/...wing%20machine

It's a free online advertising site, and I often check it for machines and other that might be what I want. I bought a sewing table and a Kenmore sewing machine in a cabinet for $20.00. The whole site is fun.

I think your New Defender is a badged machine made by AG Mason...like my "New Florence"...seems that Mason made a lot of "New" machines! ;) Probably early 1900's?

Look at this cool, retro looking table. Not something I'd feel was sturdy enough for every day, but for travel etc....
