You have a really nice red eye there. This is my favorite machine the 66 I have three 66's. I agree they sew really well and easy to maintain.

The 66 is my all time favorite machine to work on and play with. I can completely gut one main shaft and all and put it back together again sewing in just over an hour. I have been working on a project for the last year and a half with a buddy of mine that I hope to post photos of the prototype later this year if not by the first of the year. I think you guys will love the machine and the improvements I have made to it from the original. But that is all the information I am giving so far. Since I have been sick I have had to put everything on the back burner so nothing has been done towards anything but me trying to get well.

Spent the day taking down a over grown citrus tree.

:lol: Yes, but there are Redeyes, and there are very nice Redeyes...your's falls into the later catagory! :)

Thank you!! She is nice for sure. It has the back clamping feet, well I guess just the one foot so far, and is pretty to be so old. It was less than a mile from my house at a yard sale. There is no place like home!! My two 66s are 43 years apart.

I'll keep my eyes open...I sometimes run across attachments at a good price.
Wouldn't it be fun to have one of every model 66 they made?

You can say that if you have storage...

Vintagemotif this is off subject but the vs2 really has a nice sound when it sews and you are right it is a wonderful sewing machine. I am now piecing a quilt with it to learn all about it.

Poison Ivy isn't found on the west coast. So nope, just the long thorns from the citrus tree got me once or twice.

I made a couple of sewing machine covers with mine. I too love the sound and the stitching is even better than my 201.
The other machine that I own that stitches as nicely is the Standard Rotary.
