I popped by an estate sale and what did I find??? My 4th, 301 machine!! Woohoo, and I got the two toned one that completes my collection. I handed it off to hubby as soon as I got home so he can wrap it and put it under the tree. So, no pictures and I can't play with it until Christmas.

I sewed all day yesterday on my 401 and although it has a nice stitch I think the 319 has a better stitch quality and I have to say I wasn't impressed with the 401's FMQ and much prefer the 301 for that. It looks like the 401 will be nice for piecing though.

A fourth one, Candace?? I can't find a second in my price range. I really want a backup.

My son bet me tonight that he can rewire the Universal in less than 30 minutes with the tools I have in my house when he's home for Christmas. I guess I need to be patient as it'll save me a bench fee at a repair shop. Patience is not a strong point. I also reminded the next owners of Ruby Rustbucket that they need to pick her up. She treadles so much more freely than the Leader that I hate giving her up. I wonder if they are familiar with the phrase, "If you snooze, you lose."

quiltdoctor , so glad you found a cabinet. It looks just like the one we have. It will be pretty when you give it Glenn's treatment. Congrulations. We still need the plug for ours but with the pictures you sent us DH is sure he can make one.

I hope your drawer details are in better shape. Mine are mainly missing.

Candace congratulations on your new Christmas present!

Are you saying the 319 drops its feed dogs? I haven't even looked to see if you can drop those feed dogs - at least there is no obvious knob for that on the top of the machine?
