For those of you that don't venture off of this particular thread much...look and see what "Gojo" or "Goop" can do to a machine's decals! :(
http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...e-t191828.html I've asked to have those tutorials removed...this was a family heirloom that has been damaged beyond repair by bad advice!! |
That was a sad mess!! I felt sorry for her....she thought she was following good advice.

Thanks. I have a jelly roll that I just finished sewing in sets of two strips so I still have plenty of length left on them. Planning to timing my speed today. Also, have to check tension today on my 301, I think it was off last time I sewed with it. I hope not, it really does sew fast. One more day...

I find myself angry about it, actually...and I don't often get angry to this degree. :( |
I am so sorry that the decals are damaged. but please no gojo or goop on these old machines. Sewing macine oil and a little dish soap and water is all that is needed.

I saw that Charlie and I was thinking what the heck happened. So sad!! Did you by chance send a note to mods?

Took me a while to realize it has a light in it's little mallet head. I think his name is Elmer. Anyone have a scan or a link of a manual for the little 3/4 National/Eldridge/Montgomery Wards machines? Need to change the light bulb and cant reckon how to get in there. Laura
