Candace, I like the yellow and green! I don't see any evidence of a permanent marker either! You got the cams too? I'd guess 70's. It looks like a fun machine! I see it has needle positioning! So does my Pfaff! Left, middle, right needle positioning, and they both drop their feed dogs!

Candace, Those are very cute decorative stitches. I like the fish! The butterfly looks more like a bat, but it is still cute.

Yep, I like the fish, too. It would be perfect at the cabin...... very nice machine.

It is not a toy machine. From what I have found the speculate it is the predecessor of the Singer Featherweight. Mine has a steel base so weighs about 16 lbs. It is 10.5 x 6.5 x 10 tall. Singer later used the name Sewhandy for toy machines in the mid century.

It makes a good straight stitch only. I just need to get a new belt. It will use a hoover belt so will be stopping by the shop to see if I can pick one up and a new light bulb.

My Aunt found the cutest little Western made by Deluxe in her shed. She'd forgotten she even had it. It's a gorgeous little black 3/4 size machine that is electric, uses a shuttle rather than a bobbin and sews a perfect stitch but she's in need of the little spring in the bobbin winder. Does anybody know where one of those can be bought? I've looked on Sew-Classic and shot her an email but thought I'd try on here for info also. TIA for any info.

I don't think it can be treadled easily. The motor and belts are under the bed of the machine. To remove them would be major. One of its belts has 73 cleats running up through the machine. I sent a photo of the plug in to A-1 Sewing, who has been around as long as I can remember. He sent back a message that that belt is no longer in production. I will just keep checking e-bay and googling until I eventually find a belt. I don't want to change anything about this machine! It will just occupy a nice shelf in my sewing room for now! There are a couple very old repair guys around here I will check with too!
