Not really its just a flame job on it I was bored one day and decided to change up a bit. Now my wife found an old brass type of mailbox so I am going to go put it up when she gets it ordered. We are fixing to start to paint the outside this spring so the brick and all will be painted. Needless to say I will figure out an easy way to do the job. but the mailbox has to go according to her.

I see we are a bunch of night-owls around this shop, but that cinnamon raisin bread does sound delecious. Well since I have to go so far to get some, I'll just get up and make some homemade scratch (baking powder) biscuits.

Don't you guys ever go to bed? It's 3:12 am here in good ole' Michigan. I've been updating my family's web site. It's easier at night when they are all in bed. Hmmm - think I need to go digging for yesterdays left-over donuts. To heck with the waistline. Why did you have to mention cinnamon raisin bread. Yah - I can blame it all on you.

You guys are so funny sometimes. It too late to go to bed now so I guess I will pop those biscuits in the oven. Burnsk, surely you got a couple slices of bacon to share.

I have bacon, eggs and biscuits coming up. Come on over!!

It is my FrankenSinger!! I think I used parts from 3 or 4 different machines to get it running (I pilfered a handwheel from a 185J for it). But it is a 66-1 and I could not let it go to the wayside!

I guess we are just a lost cause! We see every machine as needing to be saved! I don't have a FrankenSinger yet, but I bet I end up with one of those one of these days too! How fun is that!

When I started cleaning my Free treadle, actually most of my treadles - they get sticky/tacky because you took off the dust which made them feel kinda grainy. After the last coat of built up gunk - grainy - comes off from sitting for years and years, you get to the sticky gunk. Just keep cleaning with clean cotton balls. I go through a big bag of cotton balls -- don't use the dirty ones again! You will eventually get through the sticky stuff too to a nice slick shine. Go around the decals, clean them very lightly if at all! Do this all very gently taking your time - don't rub hard! If it looks like the original finish is coming off down to metal stop! This process takes days. Do a little section at a time. I even use Q-tips to go around the decals! I have been cleaning with Blue Magic TR 3 Resin Glaze, which really brings the shine out, but very slow going!
