Just picked this one up. Wasn't in the market for this model ... but couldn't pass it up for $35.
Needs a slide plate over the bobbin area. The wood on the top will need to be worked a bit as they had it positioned in the sun. Drawer full of bobbins and a bobbin case in one of the drawers, as well as a belt - but no attachments. Will need needles as well. The drawer assembly on the left side is loose and will need to look at that - think it just needs to be fixed to the screw hole in the irons. Irons are in great shape. I haven't lifted the machine up, but everything moves freely from the top and I looked underneath with a flashlight and didn't see any glaring problems. SN FR2470727 ... best I can find so far is between 1914 and 1917 Any recommendations to source the missing slide plate? I saw one on E-bay but wondering if there are other sources. I checked Sew-Classic but didn't find one. Oh ... I'm "guessing" that the bobbin winder operates by positioning so the groove fits into the treadle belt?? |
Sue i wouldn't have been able to pass that up either-and isn't that just the way-when we aren't looking is when THEY find us..lol Very Nice-Congrats!
