Here's my latest 99k...got 3 now....a foot pedal, a knee lever and now a handcrank. She hasn't been cleaned yet; all I've done is take her upper tension apart and given it a clean....she sews beautifully and I am so in love with her...so glad I added her to the herd though the treadle is starting to feel outnumbered and "closed in"! I got her on ebay for $50 AUS..from a lady who bought her years ago at an antique auction and had lost interest in it. The bentwood lid is in terrific condition except where my dog put a scratch on it with her humungous nails...grrrr maybe will polish out tomorrow when I do the clean up! The lady didn't know what a bobbin was, had no idea the plate slid open and was apologetic that it probly wouldn't work...huh...go figure.......

They are such beautiful pieces of machinery that have been so important to people and families. I think the handcrank is a very therapeutic action..go figure, I'm a bit odd I guess. I was astounded that no-one else bid on it...are handcranks of that age not "popular"? Or is there maybe something blatantly wrong with it that my little naive eyes haven't picked up? Oh and Mike do you remember the spare knee lever for the 66k I have? Decided not to sell it in case I end up needing it myself....you never know what might pop up in the future!

It's a New Williams manufactured in Montreal Canada somewhere around 1893? I'd be very interested in purchasing the accessory kit and an original manual if anyone knows of any. The wooden coffin top and table are gorgeous and in good shape on this one as are the (still coloured) decals.

I have a Phaff 332. Does anyone know if this machine can be fitted with a walking foot? I just took up quilting about 3 weeks ago.

so I found a sewing machine while I was throwing away my garbage in the dumpster I decided to save it.I plugged it in and pick it out didn't work so I decided to take it to get restored they charge me a hundred bucks to restore it and now here I have a sewing machine and don't know nothing about it can you please help me.can you tell me what it's worth can you tell me how old is according to the guy that fixed it he told me it was maybe 19 forties but I wanted to definate answet.he also told me never seen it color like this so I'm wondering if there's more like it.
