just won this on Fleabay.... It was sold as a 1905 postcard, but it is actually dated 1908.

The fun part is it shows a sewing machine shop (I LOVE THE NAME of the sewing machine shop...) and it is taken downtown in MY hometown of Jamestown NY. 8 years BEFORE my Grandmother was born....

That is a neat card. I love old pics of places.

And it's a Jamestown, NY postcard, sent to a lady in France, and the message is written in what looks like German.
Very cool card.

I love that printing. It's almost a form of calligraphy.

EH Goodenough is so 3 Stoogesesque. The storekeeper obviously had an excellent sense of humor

Steve, I missed these files when you posted.
Thanks, It really looks like a lot of useful information I can trace into inkscape then colour in (matching these B&W drawings with actual machine pictures).
I noticed nobody seems to sell decal sets for fiddlebase machines, so if I create some I'll make them available for everyone, gratis of course.

WOW! that would be fantastic! even other than gratis! What kind of "paper" does one look for to print those on? and is it laserjet printing or will inkjet do it?
thanks!

Very generous Mike!
Jim, you're looking for waterslide decal paper, Testor's is one brand. I don't remember which printer is best or if it matters. There's also a spray you use to waterproof the ink after the decal is printed.
Here's one set of instructions.

Hubby and I are new grandparents. Katie Anne was born early Saturday morning. The photos won't load, so I can't show you our beautiful granddaughter.
