Look on ebay and see what they sell for on there to get an idea. It is hard to say you should have the whole picture of it to look at. Most people will not give you a close estimate because it just depends on opinion. We are not appraisers. What I do is offer what I think it may be worth to me.

I finally finished reading all the posts on this page just in time for the arrival of my latest aquisition...a Singer 15. Funny thing is during the online auction I thought I was buying a machine without the foot pedal. When I went to pick her up yesterday, I met the owner and said it was a shame that there was no pedal with it but figured I could find one on ebay. He told me to hold on a minute, went back into the house, and came out with the matching pedal. Said he had just came across it recently after the auction pictures had been taken.

My go to machine at home is a black 15-75 same body as your green 15. Mine looks as ugly as yours does beautiful. Mine is a tank and sews through anything. When I got mine it was rusty and the shellac was reduced to powder. It was a challenge to see if I could make it work. I kind of wondered when I got it if it would be as good as the older 15s. It is. Some day I think I need to etch a pretty design in all the pin scratches... I had to replace the motor on mine so I put on a 1.5 amp. She flys through everthing. I also put on a quick release pressure bar nut. Mine is in a 3 in 1 table which is a place of honor. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. The more it is used the better it gets. Mine is picky about spools of thread. It likes small spools. i like large. I run thread through a stand.

What is the year on your gorgeous green 15 machine?

The model number on the green machine should be 15-125. The body shape is the same. There are 201 machines with the same body shape. Mine is from about 1957 if I remember right. They weren't made like that for long. It makes that nice looking green one all the more to treasure.

AM601365 made between 1955 and 1959, like me. :o December 10, 1956 50000 machines were allocated for this serial number range.

When I tried to put the foot controller with the machine, I couldn't figure out which side of the cord to put on pin 1 and which to put on pin 3 of the 3 pin terminal. And then I realized I didn't have a power cord to go from the machine to the wall outlet. I've found where I can order this part online but still don't know what to do with the foot controller wire. Anyone know?

Just connect your controller to the empty cord end and you're good to go.

Thanks Cari but I still have the problem of not knowing if it matters which cord end on the replacement set would connect to which screws on my controller. (Not sure if that makes sense or not) I did read the download at http://shop.sew-classic.com/download...d=rfdmb4zhmzc3 and it looks like maybe it doesn't matter and if that is that case, then what pin I connect the controller to wouldn't matter either (if I got only the power cord vs the power cord with the attached cord for the controller).

When hooking up a two wire controller, it doesn't matter which wire goes to which connection in the controller. Is that what you mean?
