Nickylsf - Hilarious French decals. I know the French often don't know the difference between England and Scotland, but to get it wrong on a decal, oh dear! That machine is worth every penny for the joke value.

I just got my featherweight today (ebay). The light works and the motor runs to move the belt but the needle is not going up and down. It did not come with a manual. Can someone help me?

Is the stop motion screw on the hand wheel tightened?

Hey, thanks, Surfergirl! That helped! I am able to sew now. It did end up with the thread getting caught up inside the machine. Guess I still need to figure some things out.
Those are a few of your machines. Wow!

Here is my "newest" sewing machine. It arrived in the mail, this week, from Billy (lostin51). It is an Atlas Precision Sewing Machine. I don't know much about it yet but I have been searching for more information about it.

My 9 and 10 yr olds have been arguing for 2 days, now, about who is going to get it when I die

Pink Atlas--not sure how old it is

I love the Necchi machines. The Mira BU was missing the Wonder Wheel attachment and they are really hard to find.

Yes, my husband and I both have the VSMAD really bad. We love these old machines and I not only collect them, I use them. The problem is I'm running out of room for them. I can't seem to be able to part with them and still look for more! Your Atlas machine looks good...I bet it sews really nice, too.

You will love your little Featherweight. They're really easy to use and maintain. You just might end up like me and a lot of others and this could be the beginning of your collection of vintage machines. Mine began with the Necchi Supernova Bu.
