Question about converting Bel air bantam to handcrank

Yes, the Bel Air bantam is much the same as a 99 under the base. You can see it in this pick, randomly found on the web. The 185 turns up now and them, at various prices, but in general the same as any old Singer. The nice ones, complete with accessories and case tend to fetch a bit more. Just a few of them are hand craks, and if they are sought after for some reason I guess it might affect the price, but not much.

Hey folks,
The bantam takes a standard singer handcrank. The only "complex" thing we did was set it up with the motor bracket AND the handcrank for my student who was in Afghanistan. The machine was donated to the local police, but the end result of a bunch of drama ended up with him bringing the machine back home with him. H uses it to this day
