Is it real, or is it a clone?

It is a nice looking machine and has a lovely face plate. It is a 15 clone. Absolutely not worth that kind of money.

If you really want one, here's one for sale in the US for $240.00 with case. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/atq/3674844993.html

see the knob on the bed next to the spool pin for bobbin winding? That knob is a dead give away for a 15 clone. But oh my! That price is way too much!.

Exactly what Purplefiend said. If you see the plastic feed dog drop on any black "Singer" or any vintage looking black machine tarted up with cheap decals such as this one, it is a clone. No black Singer ever had that knob and any vintage clones were modeled after the Singer so they don't have the knob either.
