Red Eye 1910 model!
I have just bought a Red Eye for $65 AU on ebay. No case but I have a treadle Cabinet I can put her in. There are not many Red Eyes in Australia, I have the much more common Lotus 66. Will post photos when it arrives.

Congrats on snagging that Red Eye! I know how exciting that can be, and I've read how uncommon they are in other parts of the world.
I also remember how excited I got when I brought home my Lotus (that is harder to find on this side of the water). I made an exception for my "no repeats" in my collection to have both a Lotus and a Red Eye 66.

Yes, the lotus design is definitely the most common 66 decal here. However I bought a red eye in Melbourne a few months ago for $25 (from a shop!) and sold it a bit over three weeks ago (the guy loved the look).
I've got two or three (really not sure) lotuses sitting in my shed. Haven't been used since I discovered the magical 201s.

Mike (and others), There seems to be a lot of mention of the Magical 201s lately... Can you tell me what is so great about them, as compared with other Singer Straight stitchers? Thanks!

Cecilia, the stitch is perfect and the needle makes an incredibly satisfying sound when it enters the fabric. It is very strong and has been able to punch through everything (so far). I avoided using mine (because it was tan) until the 66 was unable to stitch a belt onto a pair of old jeans. Got out the 201 and the job was done very easily and quickly. My hero! I was hooked (so to speak).
