I love the old singers. Too bad they no longer make them as well as when they were all metal....sigh....

I love my model 27s (I have two) they're both treadles. I have the manuals (which won't cover the motor, but everything else should be the same). I think I even have a .pdf of one if you need it. Have fun with her. Also the puzzle box of attachments are awesome too!

Greetings, oh yes she is a pretty one !!! And what a deal !!! Did you get the curved wood top part of the carry case for the portable version? I have an old Singer, born about the same time, but not electric, it is a good old hand crank, and has the case of curved wood top. The carry case isn't in very good shape any more but I'm not complaining, it was a freebie. The LQS/Sewing Machine Sales and Service shop that I work in still services the old Singers, and about once a week a FW comes in and we all stand there and drool.
