My parents volunteer at a rummage sale in Far Hills, NJ...
They happen to "work" in the electronics department (which is on the opposite side of the wall from the fabric & notions department which always has great deals as well)

Buuuut.... they have a few gems of sewing machines that are going to be sold!
I'm giving everyone a heads up here - just in case you want to swoop in and get something before the sale officially starts...
Here is a link to the rummage sale itself - it is massive - in a huge barn, a few buildings and what I can only describe as a circus tent lol.

Okay... you all sitting down for the pics??

That's just the first two.
The Kayser is a treadle.
number on plate is 560000
I can't seem to find a date it was made online. I have been told it is in fabulous condition.

The Singer is motorized and the decals are beautiful :)
patent # april 7, 1896
model 16491188

I believe this one was made in 1899

If anyone is interested in the machine, I should be able to get prices on them early next week :)

My mother sent me even more pictures of machines at the sale. I'm going to get them up as soon as I can. The sale starts Friday and those babies will be gone fast!

They have a preview day Thursday I believe that things can be purchased ahead of time but with a 25% upcharge. I learned quickly that the best things at the sale are gone before the doors even open to the public!

Sadly, it has been years since I've been able to go to the sale. I live a good 12 hour drive from there now :(

I will ask my mom to take more pics of the Singer. I have several emails full of machine pics that she emailed me earlier today. They get a lot of sewing machine donations every year.

She keeps going on about some green Bell sewing machine. She is really fascinated by it. It looked cute from the pic she sent me.

The volunteers do not work on Sundays so the earliest I would hear back about the pricing on the machines is Monday evening.

I'll also post more pics of the beauties they have. They seem to have quite a collection this year.
