The Homesteader uses a stretched 15-91 of modern manufacture. They put an M bobbin in it - twice as big as the class 15 that it would ordinarily take. I'm hoping to see one in action at the Dallas Quilt Show. The Innova had been high on my list, but this costs a lot less:

I'm just thinking 'outside the box' here when I mentioned using an older Singer in a frame. I realized the bobbin is a limiting factor but putting a setup together like this might or might not tell me if a long arm/frame is in my future.

By the way - I just discovered a quilt show in my area for this weekend. Guess where I will be on Saturday?
