I like your "sew jealous" - that's cute.
The red accessory case is even leather - didn't expect that either. When we took the part that has holds the spool of thread off, we saw that the gear was so shiny, it didn't look like it was ever used.
Forgot to mention that the case that it came in is in great condition too, the inside lid has a pattern material and it has metal slots to hold the foot pedal, and there is a red plastic case for ?? that connects to the inside of the case.
Sorry to sound off, but I am just so happy and excited. I do actually use my 221 so I am anxious to use this one too.

I had a machine that was similar. I could not push the foot pedal hard enough to make it so at any speed. It may not be the foot control. There was thread wrapped around the take up wheel and it was melted. Hope you get it figured out.
