Singer 29-4 Cobbler/harnass makers cast iron base.
Hello all,
With the bedroom conversion completed, I am trying to tidy up one of my storage buildings. Last year a friend needed the 29-4 machine that I restored to original condition and reluctantly made him an offer that he jumped at. He is a member of a group that does medieval weapons and needed such a sewing machine. Well we agreed on a cash amount with 4 heads, 2 cabinets and 1 dismantled 29-4 base to me as compensation. The question is 1) do I leave it as is, clear coat it and display 2 Singer heads on it. 2) Strip it down and refinish it in it's original black and make 2 table tops, one large(top) and one smaller one for the lower spot, or 3) Bring it, as is, to an antique consignment shop and try to sell it. Any advice or suggestions is welcome. Thanks
