That's probably right...24 lbs. The Featherweight only weighs about 11 lbs, so you see the difference.

I have to agree with you Billy. No light on mine. It seems to be a very strip down sewing machine. However it does seem to do a very good job of straight stitching. I just pieced a quilt for DGS on mine. I'm thinking It will be my piecing machine for a while. I like the foot control that came with mine.
