When I taught my Stepdaughter how to sew on my Singer 301, she was thrilled with the ruffler attachment. She had a blast making ruffled dresses for her niece.

you have a ruffler, rolled hem, and the others I don't know (not that I don't have them, I just don't use them) Download a manual from Singer for further information. YOu will love the 99. I bought one 35 years ago to teach my daughters how to sew. My machine then was too fast for a beginner. I have taught numerous girl scouts how to sew with that machine. I use it regularly. Other than weighting a ton it is a durable machine. I just bought a Spartan which is a striped down 99 and it is just as good. You made a great choice.

I, too, have a 99K that a friend got for me. You are blessed to have those attachments too! Check out Muv's great tutes on how to use many of them. The one with the slots on the sides is AMAZING!!!
Now, if only I could find those attachments for mine...
