I sew on a similar machine almost daily; mine is a 1941. My (much) newer and much fancier machines collect dust since this one is so reliable. If anything goes wrong, I know it's something that I did-----so I take the bobbin and thread off/out and start over threading. That takes care of it. If you got the accessories kit with all of the feet, have fun! There are some strange things in there!
