We need more people to use treadles so more can be saved. Maybe some kind of national campaign? Unfortunately, many parts are no longer made so parts will always be needed. I don't personally see any beauty in a treadle table but they say beauty...

This is my first attempt to find out about treadles......I just bought a great looking machine and cabinet for $100. The wood is in pretty good shape and the decals on the machine look good too; the metal frame needs to be painted, but I don't know exactly how to get the cabinet off the metal frame. Can ayone help?

Linda, Look under it, there should be 4 screws on the top of the irons that hold the cabinet in place.
