Craig's list, Facebook rummage sale pages, etc. local thrift shops, antique malls.....they all will have some but prices will vary...make sure the bobbin and parts are there and that the wheel turns and needle moves …..there are other tips...on this board and elsewhere. Most will need some work but lots of folks do that themselves.....

I ended up gifted one, but when I started looking I put a wanted ad in the local nickle or trader paper. I indicated a Singer (so I could easily get needles and bobbins or other parts). And said I wanted it for actual use, hoping that would weed out the out in the bushes boat anchor responses. I got a good number of calls and asking prices were in the 30-100 dollar range. I also knew I wanted a standard bobbin, not shuttle, but didn't say that, most folk haven't a clue, why confuse the issue.

Good luck with the search! Most belt driven (via motor mount) Singers can be converted to treadle, so you have a huge variety to look for and aren't limited to just straight stitch, but can get ziz zag and then drop it into a Singer treadle stand. Let us know how the search goes!

I didn't get a treadle, but found my 301 at a very reasonable price on offerup.com.

I look at garage sales. The last one I purchased I only paid $25. The machine was in good shape the cabinet needed a bit of refinishing and that was a breeze. I have now made several quilts on it.

I often see them on Shopgoodwill.com. Keep looking on there and I bet you will eventually come across one in Georgia. They are almost always pickup only as they are so expensive to ship.

If you were closer to the Midwest I would give you mine. I want it to have a good home where it’s loved. It was my Grandma’s and I moved to a smaller house so no room for it anymore.

Because a lot of folks know I collect, they come to me sometimes. I have three waiting for space before I pick them up free. I've passed some on. Let you friends and fam know you are looking. Good point above about choosing what you want before you buy. I like many brands, but Whites have unusual tread tensioners. The needlebars come off with the faceplates on Davis( above) and White machines. They can be tricky to get back into place. Others have quirks too.

And yes, that is off a Davis Vertical feed.
