Three featherweight cabinets on ebay now, variety of prices. Seen a few on there lately but don't think any have sold but nice to look at. Mine must be worth a mint compared to some of them but ain't parting with it.
My stash keeps me in stitches!

"NO SCRAPPERS I CAN DO THAT MYSELF." I think that's all that's left for this poor old machine. If you dunked it in a tub of Evaporust, it would disappear!

The local scrap yard gives about 15 cents a pound. Times 25~ pounds of sewing machine is $3.75. I doubt it's worth that!

and why does he think he can get $75 for this poor old thing? Guess he doesn't know how much he would get if he scrapped it himself.

Good grief! I finally sold my old 290c. That machine was so allergic to heavy duty work, it started sneezing if I approached it with a fresh needle.

Singer must be to sewing machine as Kleenex is to facial tissue, or Bandaid....Heck, some people call any soda "Coke", so...

That would be a great candidate for a handcrank conversion. I am not so sure I would trust the electrical! Not for that price though.

There are a few of those floating around town here that are identical to that la Vencedora (probably even the wiring). Here (Central Alberta) that seems to be the going price, or higher. I think it's because we're too far from the border, not a lot of pickings. I did pick up a lovely "Victorian" 28 with the original hand crank & motor in Calgary (S. Alberta) this weekend for less than that though.

At least in the text they identify the machine. But what about this picture on the ad? Made me giggle.

Did you notice the town? It is Greensburg - probably a four hour drive... Why did they put that ad clear up in Fort Wayne?
I bet it has pin rash... charging extra for that???
