"This old Singer treadle sewing machine has been painted in a soft white chalk paint and is ready for your Shabby Chic home! The light distressing brings out the natural aging of this beautiful piece of furniture.

2nd ad: the light distressing brings out the NATURAL aging of this beautiful piece of furniture. . . Wouldn't NOT distressing it actually show the natural aging BETTER???? Another case of a lot of words that mean nothing!

I love it:
-holding doors open in windy rooms
-a place to cut photos on for scrapbooking
-long term 'I have to iron this one day' storage
-hiding snacks that you shouldn't have
-covering horrible flooring miscuts
-vacuuous black hole to dispose of things I can't identify or assign another logical place for
-assuring people that at one time I was remotely domestic (aka Mother-in-law placator)
But it's talents do not end there folks!
add a leaf blower engine and you have transportation (will pass E test)
add ice; a place for your libations at those cramped holiday do's
move daily from room to room; BAM! instant work out machine
hours of fun for the kids at soapbox derbies (they still have those, right?)
don't know what to get that tough to buy for eight year old on your Christmas list? POOF! years of therapy!
If you put your ear up to it, you can hear the ocean as clear as if it were 500 metres away
Great revenge on your husband for that chop saw(still in its original box) that you consistantly have to step over in the basement to get to the dryer.
Comes with a wide selection of attatchments and accessories that I couldn't begin to describe or even vaguely wrap my head around as to their use.
Please do not force my kids to inherit it

No kidding! I couldn't believe that when I saw it.
1st ad, bonus question: Where do the bakelite cams go? Which "door"?
2nd Ad - I'm distressed just looking at it. I think not painting it in the first place might have shown the "natural aging" a lot better. And that paint doesn't look distressed, it looks chipped off (look at the wheel)
Okay the first one - doesn't remember how to thread it but able to answer questions; I think we should write them and ask "How to thread it" . . .

Perhaps it was meant as a Halloween scare? (PSST if you were wondering what's in the drawer, nuthin' but a spider)
