Thank you, quiltmouse! :-) "Almatinka" is actually not a "name" per se - I just use it as my "on-line name" ;-). In Russian it's just means "a person living in or from Almaty" (it's the name of the city in Kazakhstan where I was born and used to live), sort of like "a New-Yorker", etc. I do not know, however, if I can contribute much to this community, since I don't quilt. ;-) But I'll be happy to help if anyone needs something translated from/into Russian or something like that! ;-)

Billy,
I bought a singer Model 15, I can't find a serial number and upon closer examination Singer, made in China is stamped on the inside. The design is Spinx(sp?) Have I been gypped or were some made in China? Everything looks just as it should and only found the printing after I was home and looked inside with a flashlight. Of course there is no serial Number. My fault, should have taken it apart and not gone by looks at the purchase place. Cabinet is authentic irons, Everything has Singer stamped inside the cabinet in several spots.
