Weba KI-520 Sewing Machine Help
I have this Weba 520 Sewing machine. It is from Germany and I cannot find any information on it except a German website that tells me absolutely nothing. I will show you a photo of it. It is very interesting and has a Westinghouse sewing machine motor attached to it... Does anybody know anything about this sewing machine? It doesn't hurt to ask. I know more about Singers than anything else...because I have been refurbishing old cast irons for over 10 years now.. I have had this Weba for about a year or so and now I'm looking at it finally. I have no idea what to do with this... The belt is very loose... there's not a manual on this thing. I don't know why I bought it. it was 50$ when I bought it a year ago...
Anybody have a clue? Thanks

Great German machine. It looks like one of the spool pins could wind the bobbin while sewing. Did you get any attachments with it?
I'm guessing you probably found https://www.naehmaschinenverzeichnis...aschinen/weba/ If you look at the small pictures below "Köhler WZ = WEBA 520 N" and click on the next to last one it has a red line drawn in to indicate threading. I'm not sure if it is correct, I think I would try it and if not I would try something else - more like a Singer 201. The two hole spool pin and the multiple thread guide, I think, is for changing the tension, Yes, it has a tension dial, but I think there are times when it needs some extra help and not needing to adjust the bobbin tension.
Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Yes is the website! I actually used google translate and spoke with a woman in German about this machine before I bought it. She said it was worth, in her country, $50. So this is why I got it for $50. She said its only in the museum there and doesn't know why it would be here. *shrug* thats all the information I got form her.
