Vogue Stitch model 8058
This is an older machine trying to pull itself out of retirement. I used it in college to sew a down winter jacket kit (without issue!) So, decades later, the plug for the light shorted. The plugs are not made for replacement. Are there any suggestions for replacing the plug with current parts?
Thanks for any suggestion? I hate to put this girl in permanent retirement!

I would not try plugging the light in until someone familiar with electrical stuff looks at it. I'm not electrically inclined, but John is and he said that he may be able to tell if it was the plug itself or if it was in the wiring for light by the spark pattern.
The block cord like those in the links above would need to have the foot controller wired before plugging the motor plug in and then into the wall outlet.
