Default White Family Rotary

I'm tickled pink that after several years of missing having a treadle, I found a 1917 White Rotary treadle in a mission-style cabinet. It looks as though it was rarely used. It needs a cleaning, oiling, and new belt, which I've ordered.

I've found a little information about the machine, but wondered if the experts here have any insights from their experience. It's very different from my Singer Red Eye I let go.

Nice looking machine and cabinet. It looks like you may have a manual.

There are a lot of threads here on QB about the White Rotary some are electric. I did a post at Need help! White Rotary doesn't pick up lower thread that has a lot of links and info regarding White rotary machines. It looks like I didn't include another good one at Directions for loading a White rotary bobbin (White Family Rotary, etc.)

Hope you have a bobbin case. They are not easy to find.

I have heard warnings about not taking apart teh tensioner. I haven't tried it. Love that stand under it.

Default Looking for a manual

I received a White Dressmaster E-6354 605-19559 machine. It has a knee pedal rather than a foot pedal. Any suggestions on how to obtain a manual? I’m new to this forum and I haven’t figured out how to upload photos, yet! The machine is green.

I would suggest that you start a new thread at https://www.quiltingboard.com/vbulle...thusiasts-f22/ There is a red button "+New Thread" to do that.

What a beautiful machine and a stunning cabinet. An oak mission-style cabinet is something very special. Congratulations and thank you for posting the picture! I'd love to see more. and to hear more about how you make out with this machine.

I can hardly wait for the belt to arrive so I can begin stitching. I'll try to remember to post a picture of my first finished project!
Thank you for your encouragement!
