Default Wonder what's inside?

A friend sent me this photo from an estate sale down the street from her. This is the only photo I have. What kind of machine is usually inside this type of cabinet?

You might Google coffin top treadle and see what pictures come up.

Unless someone really knows their cabinets, I doubt that we can help you much Bkay. And even if someone ID's the cabinet, ots can happen in 100 years. But I doubt you'll find plastic under it.

I could guess Singer, and by the trealde stand and age maybe improved family; though model 27 and 15 are just as likely.

I wish it was closer. It's about 20 miles out there. I probably wouldn't buy it anyway, as I'm not much of a treadle person. I don't own one, yet. The cabinet looks great, though.

I'd really like to know what's in there.

On Google I saw several coffin tops with that cross hatch design on singer VS #2 machines. But, of course, Singer sold cabinets and heads separately so it could be something else even if it's a Singer.

My 1891 Singer VS2 fiddlebed in a cabinet just like that.
