Even if the wiring is iffy, I would still take it. I bought a Featherweight on eBay recently and it's now in the shop. One of the things that it needs is a new plug as the old wiring is taped and not safe. The cost to replace this was $24.

I would like to talk to someone who may have a Singer Sewing Machine that also has an extended arm for quilting. I saw one in a store but didn't feel comfortable buying it until I could speak to someone who may have tried it already.

Sounds good, most likely it is one of the 15 series which have the bobbin on the end and is an oscillating type, makes it easy to load bobbins when quilting. Also the bobbins which have holes all the way around hold more thread. Go for it!

even the Singer TOUCH AND SEW was a piece of crap.. put four motors on one till I threw it away. i think it was 1955, plastic gears.

This is favorite machine ever! I would buy it, good price too! Just can't beat a Singer 15.

I have 7 singers, 2 Singer 15's and would buy another 15 if I thought I could
