Default Wooden Bobbins

I was in a thrift store today and saw 3 wooden bobbins, all with wool thread on them. I didn't get them but I haven't stopped thinking about them. They wanted $5 each for them. I am going back in the morning and get them. Any suggestions for what I can do with them? I'm attaching a picture that I got on the internet to show everyone what they look like.

I would create a shadow box with other memorabilia. I have a lot of wooden spools and a couple of wooden bobbins also. The bobbins were in the Ziploc that had the spools. Not much thread on any of them so not going to use them for sewing. Some do have enough for mending but have no machines for the wooden bobbins. But that's what I would do unless you have a machine for them.

I've seen wooden spools used as candlesticks. But those are pretty skinny.... it would have to be really thin tapers.

$5 bucks seems like a fair price for those. around here people want more than twice that much.

I was told these were used in textile factories. I've paid much less for these.

Those are for old industrial machines, particularly weaving machines. At least, that's what I've been told. You can also use them to wind yarn when you get a tangled skein. They are pretty.
