I have joined the featherweight family. I was at our Creative Sewing class today and I mentioned that I was looking for a featherweight with a birth year of 1948 so we would be the same age. And someone had one, in great condition for $250 so I snapped it up and told my DH he just bought my birthday present

That's the way to do it. So nice when they give you what you want for your birthday. Makes them happy; that shopping is done. Oh wait tell him what you need to go with it. Don't let him totally off the hook. He needs to give you something to wrap. LOL! Congrats!

Congratulations on your FW! Mine has 1954 on it, but I was born in 1945. Since my son bought this one for me, I don't think I can fuss about what year it was born, especially since he paid $50!
