#1121
Simply stunning Lyn - You must feel so proud. I have just started my 5th star - so a LONG way to go - ( but I did finish my Dear Jane and picked her up from the quilter's yesterday) - just got to add the scalloped binding now !
Congratulations.
Congratulations.

Lyn Hut it's Beautiful! I love your colors. If I ever do this again, I'm going with a more planned look instead of scrappy. Do you know how many colors you started with? I have this coming weekend to myself so hopefully, I can get something done. This quilt is too big to be a UFO.

I think your's is a definite success. 4 of each works. I never thought of baking paper. I ripped my papers a few at a time sitting in front of the tv. The only way is to hold the seam and rip, I had a pair of tweezers for those small bits that refused to leave. And of course, some, I left.

Thank you, Quilter 65. I made the blocks 12" (finished); if I'd have thought it through before starting I think I'd have done 8 or 9". As Lyn mentioned, this quilt is huge when all 50 blocks are used. That's why I'm making smaller items.
Lyn, I've found if I fold the paper on the seam and sort of score it with my fingernail it removes pretty easily. I removed the paper as I finished each block so I didn't have all that to do at the end. I have small tweezers I use to get the little tiny pieces out of the points but I don't obsess about removing every itty bitty piece in the points either.

Hi
Thanks for the information on paper removing, I will keep going and remember to remove as I go when I do another paper piece quilt. qltgrose my blocks are 12" and I am thinking of a all over star pattern. I have wait and see what my quilter has.

Good Morning y'all! I had a wonderful experience this weekend. A quilting friend came over and saw my quilt laid out and said, "Oh Tish, it's beautiful." It felt so good! After working on it this long, I am a bit intimidated by the quilting of it so, I haven't sandwiched it yet. So yes, I will get it done. Here is my next state, Texas. Another light star.
