I can see the size is wide enough to hold your cutting mat, and adjustable legs which is what I am looking for in a table. Prices at Wal Mart do vary quite a bit, due to different management. The three I shop at in the area are all different in many ways, although the same in other ways. It may take me a while to find it, but then again, the sewing room is delayed by the Horn sewing cabinet that is coming, if I have the patience for it. Thanks for the photo, it does help, but thought there was a Model number given before.

"this sewing machine extension table. Bonnie Hunter recommends this one because you can configure it to fit any sewing machine." Thanks, but that one looks like mine, too. The one I am getting is cut for any Model and Make of a sewing machine, a long list of them...and I love the one I have been using since buying my sewing machine. Love your window you have to look out as you sew.

Anael are there any Lemon Bars left ??????????? or did QuiltE get the last one

JeanieG what a lovely sewing room you have, and a view out the window...

Yesterday we had unexpected visitors from the Northern Territory who were travelling through town and decided to visit us so had to prepare a quick lunch, it was great to catch up on all the gossip from our old town but I was pleased to wave them off too... I am back to quilting Not Marjen, only have 10 block to go and then the borders. DH is out fishing so I am off to the sewing room to get some more done while he is not home, he is setting the timer on me so I don't overdo it, I just want it finished

I took that awful border of my 2nd Pony Club Quilt. Here is a photo with samples of two fusions. I think I like the lighter one best, what do you all think???

Jeanie, I am undecided....I like the left side...and the right side...what do you think about a narrow dark to frame it and then a wider one of the lighter blue???? And the binding the dark blue again. Just my two cents worth, 'cause it needs to please you and your design eye. And you have a good one.

MiraB ... I couldn't help but laugh at you and your ploy ... so DH is setting the timer on you and then once he's out of the house you get busy, timerless!!!! Does he have any clue as to how fast or slow you sew, to notice the increased productivity when he's fishing? When the cat's away ... the mouse doth play!
As for the Lemon Bars ... there wasn't even a crumb for me to taste test! You'd think that being that I gave her the recipe, that she'd at least keep me one little wee tasty bar!

... good for you for getting that reverse stitching done! I like both ... the lighter is a little more cheery and bright. Consider this ... do you want it to match (somewhat) to your "pony" PC quilt? or not? That might make the decision for you. Now for another idea that I've been mulling over since you posted your dilemma. How about white? ........ first a narrow border of one of the blues, then a wide white, then the same blue as a flange with the white binding. Or if you don't want white binding, then use the blue for the binding. It'd give you a quilt with a totally different look to your first PC and with that much white, it'd be nice and fresh and crisp looking!

I quit doing laundry with the heat wave and was so thankful for the break today ... I was about out of clothes! Not caught up, but at least I have something to wear tomorrow! While no sewing got done, I did get my entries made for a big show the first weekend in September. (entries due by 8/1 and quilts go in any time during the month til 8/31). I checked this show out last year and was so impressed that all quilts were hanging. The quality was amazing, so the competition will be stiff for my entries.

Jeanie, I just went back and looked at the larger pic of your Pony quilt and I agree with you, I like the lighter blue border. I think it pulls all your blocks together and looks really nice with the white that frames the blocks. Either way, it's a great quilt.
I pray for peace today and hope I don't have to tomorrow.

Jeanie I like the dark blue but that's just me 'cause I love richer colors. What do you think? You are the only one lookin' at the actual fabric. Put it up someplace that ya can stand back & look at it. In a few days you'll know.

Thanks for all your kind remarks on the border(s) that you guys have given me. It is very much appreciated! I agree with dublb, I'll just leave it up on the display wall for a while and keep looking at it.

I'm so lost on what's going on, but I thought I read something about Lemon bars; and oh I like the lighter shade Jeanie.

My day started with DDIL making scrambled eggs for little ones (they are up at 6) with leftovers for me :-) DD made caffeine coffee--enough for me to have a cup :-). BD dinner of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, some scalloped potatoes (DGS #2's favorite), ramein noodle salad, fruit salad, broccoli salad lined up for noon. DDIL and I make trip to urgent care with 3 yo with an ear ache--yes infected--and miss lunch. Littlest BD GS slept late in afternoon and today was his 2nd BD and other summer BD kids anxious for cake and "presents". Then 3 yo and tired mom took a nap. By 4:00 compromise and one present each was opened. It's like Christmas in July with 6 BD's between June 11 and Sept 8th and we even used Christmas wrapping paper!!! That calmed them down for a while. A short ball game until GD#1 got hit by a pitch, nothing serious. Pretty soon the Pied Piper of OK had 9 little ones following after her as she went home to start calf chores; and momentary peace descends and GMa caught a 30 minute nap. By the time I wake up, time to think about supper. Soft tortillas, buffet style with cake and homemade ice cream for dessert and the remaining presents opened and played with or whatever. Soon littlest ones put to bed, older ones played out in the twilight. It was 11:30 when I got dishes cleaned up--DW started for the 3rd time today and we had paper plates at supper! By now house is quiet and everyone in bed but me and GPa. There are 54 dead fly carcasses strewn across the dining and kitchen floors. Gee that makes 6 for every GC. How many minutes was door left open just to let a couple of "bugs" in!
The WI family leaves mid afternoon taking an extra boy and leaving a girl behind. NC family flies out on Tuesday. A trip to TwC--up early to get on the road by 6:00 am. Stop at Joann's to pick up some bfly fabric so GD#2 can sew a pillowcase that will match her curtains. She will then have one 4-H exhibit ready for her county fair. OK I'm tired just listening to me ramble--hope to catch up with all, before I go to sleep..........
