QE yes the bag travels month to month. When all said and done each participant will have 12 blocks. That's my local mystery tour. Glad you've had a good week at the Royal--always a treat to catch up isn't it? Did you see our mutual friend JG.
Tonight Emily came done for a bit to sew some more squares together. She likes the idea that the machine is set up and waiting for her when she has a few minutes to sew. She has a few more pairs to sew then starts sewing pairs into strips. On the last strip I put borders on, but might let her put this one all together herself. It was a treat to have her sew across the table from me and chat as we each sewed!
The Crazy Pony quilt I plan on giving to my sister who works in a disabled children's home as a pediatric nurse. And children range to 18 years of age so this will work well for some older youngster.

QuiltE she kept asking for a guitar, but I think she is a bit too small for a real one so I bought her a ukulele, apparently she loved it Also bought her some pretty dresses.
Today I made a start on her quilt, one block down and a gazillion to go. I have done most of the SID. I am also quilting over the applique as I want it to sit flat..

I've had a busy three days! I baked 3 batches of Thumbprint Cookies for today's Baby Shower for my nephew's wife on Thursday. On Friday, I made a huge Pasta Salad and homemade Potato Rolls for the shower. This morning we had the shower starting with lunch at 11:00 a.m. I was so tired by the time I got home I took a nap. LOL I'm not used to being on my feet for long periods of time. Guess I am really feeling my age! A lot of the people attending the shower were relatives, so it was such fun to see three of my first cousins and an aunt. Turned out to be a wonderful Baby Shower!
Tomorrow I have to pack the Motorhome as we are leaving for a campout with our Camping Group at the beach. No WIFI this time, so you won't hear from me from Monday till Thursday. It is suppose to be cool weather - mid 60's.

OKSGlad ... no JG sitings!! With no Guernsey show, i"m sure it's less enticing for him to come. Granted he does have just about every other breed, and I was there for the two main dairy days. So many people, so easy to not see someone. Such grand memories for both you and DGD of your sit-and-sew times together. Crazy Pony will be a hit with a special child thanks to you. Last night I was wondering ..... how many LQS' did you find between yours and your DSis'? Good stretch stops!!
MiraB ... Oh what a cute picture! To her, the ukelele probably is a guitar! You'd better get practicing, Grandma, to give her some lessons. And sweet new dresses with a sweet Princess quilt WIP. Good idea on the applique stitching. Lately, I've been noticing the ruffled look of the inner borders that often do not get quilted ... almost looks shabby against the rest of the quilt.
JeanieG ... mmmmmmm thumbprints! filled with mint? or what is the California twist on them? I bet you are really enjoyed your new kitchen when you had all that cooking/baking to do. Have fun at the beach ... coolish, but still warm compared to most of us here!

Sew for me too, QuiltE, and enjoy twice as much for me too.
Mirabella, she is a real sweet child, easy to creep into your heart and love her dearly. Love your quilting work; excellent as per usual.
JeanieG, have fun camping this next week; its toooo cold here to camp out.
Which is a good thing 'cause the Maytag Refrigerator quit again. And its only seven years old. Naturally on a Saturday morning when no repair man works. We got a new one at Home Depot that was on sale and a little one to tide us over until they can deliver a new one (Thursday). Cannot trust the Maytag any more. So happy our state property and personal tax is paid for the year. Whew!!! We may get to celebrate a little bitty Christmas this year. Blessings come with gray clouds, now that the cataract is removed, I can see better, 20/20 from the right eye and its healing nicely. Left eye sees a 'crescent' moon quarter, just enough to make things difficult and will need reading glasses...its hard to focus the two together right now, doc said "Mother Nature" will do her thing" whatever that means.
Dh is now to five teeth, so have to go boil some eggs for him to have egg salad and tuna salad to eat.
GrannyQ, you are still in my prayers; Dublb, hope that you are doing great.

For some reason I think that little girl is singing "Somewhere over the rainbow" and this link says it all--even better than Judy G.

Got a MB done yesterday now want to get the next one done and maybe finish off the rest of them too. Now for some music time.

Mirab, great quilt and what a cutie she is. I bet everyone's glad you didn't buy her a drum set!
No sewing today--just a lazy Sunday watching football and doing crossword puzzles. Have to get back in the Bat Cave tomorrow. I got my office manager's name in our Grab Bag and I know she wants a table topper and I have the perfect fabric and pattern.
On Thursday (if it doesn't snow, please God) my friends and I are going to a LQS. We've seen the owner at various shows and expos. He does the most awesome thread work and usually works on black whole-cloth quilts under a black light. He looks more like a biker than a quilter.
