Please ell me what FWSG stands for.
Not sure what the G stands for, but this is the "Farmers Wife Sampler" (Group, maybe) The original quilt along started last year and for 55 weeks sewed 2 blocks a week from the Farmers Wife book. Those posting now are latecomers or (dare I say) slackers who are trying to get the blocks finished. From one of the slackers!

Weezie ... I hope you'll come on back and be with us more often! I'm still in awe of your quilt and being influenced by your quilt. Your setting triangles really have me as they quilt floats nicely on them and yet they don't overpower. Hope you'll be with us when the Pony Club rides into town.

Hiya, QuiltE. I've been admiring your latest block pictures. They are stunning. I was impressed with your clever elimination of those 8 pieces on block #???? (32, I think). I will not be doing the Pony Club with y'all because I have a load of WIPs to work on. I actually did work a lot on WIPs when I was doing the FWS; I would get many weeks ahead on the FWS blocks and then work on other stuff until it was time to do more FWS blocks. However, I'm still so far "in the hole" that I'm not wanting to start another BOM at this time. I do plan to pop in here quite frequently and say "hello", see how things are going, see what's new, & watch the Pony Club progress.
I totally understand, Weezie about too many WIPs! I'm much the same, and really didn't need to start the FWS with all the ones I have sitting in limbo. Actually, I should correct myself, as I didn't really start with the intent of it becoming a first and foremost project, but one for the in betweens. Well, needless to say I have become possessed by it and it's seemingly is in the front running for completions! I'm really enjoying it and discovering a lot more about quilting than I have from many other projects. I think that's why it's got my attention! Plus, I get bored easily, so matchy-matchy quilts with lots of repetition are not the best for me (even though I do them!) ... and well, let's say this one sure provides the Variety that IS the Spice of Life!!
Pony Club ... I wasn't really "sold" on it, as I am so not a pony/horse person! Then as I did FWS I became more and more envious of you ladies working together for a year ..... which of course, I was not part and party to. I know it's just not quite the same experience for we latecomers.
Absolutely ... I hope you will drop by the Pony Club, and check in on us with words of wisdom. And heck, maybe you'll get those WIPs so caught up that we'll lasso you into the PC!![]()
