I agree with deranged_damsel. A light yellow or green to soften the dark purples, but something that will distinguish itself from your light background. Great job - and I can see how sashing is a least favorite part of quilting - mine is pressing. I believe in the Jackie Robinson law - finger press while constructing and press with an iron when finished. Belles

Ooh I like those. Love purple-didn't use enough in mine. You're doing a great job. Sorry, no suggestion on sashing/cornerstones. That was the hardest thing for me to decide. I kinda like the dark purple (almost black) maybe. Hmmm-anyway, I love your blocks.

Pretty collection! For sashing, what about a silvery-grey to go with the cool color pallette of the purples and blues? Or maybe a taupe/deep beige to warm it up and bring out the creams?

Congratulations on your first 25! It is going to be a lovely quilt. I can't think of any sashing idea, but I like the silvery grey idea.

Whew! Just read over the full thread ... and talk about information overload, and drool from all your beautiful works!

I'll post the blocks I have done, sometime this weekend ... and am already starting to think of the sashing/cornerstone possibilities. Will be nice to have everyone's expertise to drawn on for advice.

It's really amazing how each group of blocks have their own personality, set up by the fabrics you have each chosen. Perfect in every way!!

As I start thinking about sashing ... what finished widths have you ladies chosen to use?
