jolo...thats great that you were able to do yours this week! That is quite a load you are carrying. We sure will keep on with the prayers...

Elle...those look wonderful! There are so many opportunities to move the blocks around that I don't think having similar colors in a week will really matter in the big picture. Maybe your new fabs will come in soon. I hate waiting!

Lesley..I sympathize with you...SID is sooo boring! I think it is really my least favorite part of quilting. I think I would rather spray baste than do it...now custom type quilting...thats a whole 'nother story! Love doing that!

Lacelady - they look great quilted! I've often wondered about piecing blocks before you put them all together. Is it "tricky"?
Pat your group of blocks are beautiful! Love your fabric choices. What an accomplishment! I have much catching up to do! Hugs

I didn't find it too bad Sheree - I am a great one for hand sewing in the evenings in front of the TV, so that's what I did. You can see my pics of the first stages here:

I began quilting the blocks when I had done most of the applique ones done, and on a good evening, I was getting 5 or 6 done, so it went quite quickly. What I found strange is that with our schedule as it has been done, I was nearly at the end before I could get one row stitched together. It didn't seem to matter whether the rows were horizontal or vertical, there was always the odd block that still needed to be done.

I waited, or made the extra blocks to get my rows done vertically, as I prefer vertical sashing to join things together. It's a small thing, and I don't think it made a whole lot of difference in the end, because I used cornerstones. It's just that's the way I have always done it when I am not using cornerstones.

You all are doing so well; I have my Dear Jane BOM in a container. I'm embarrassed. The Dear Jane is for me, and somehow, I always find something to make for someone else!

Jolo, I hope round two of chemo goes as well as round one. Blessings to you.

Elle, I love those fabrics, so pretty!

Sharon & Sheree, miss seeing your blocks, you will find more time later, still plenty of time to catch up! :)

Jolo, more prayers for your son, I'm glad you have this project to keep you busy, take care of yourself too.

Eimay, there are times for others, and times for yourself. Treat yourself to a bit more time for you!
