It's almost time..... 1 week and we begin!
I added a light-light yellow fabric and a dark-dark blue fabric to my fabric picks. Now I think I have everything ready to go!
hugs, Jupiter

Hi JoLo,
So sorry to hear that you don't have the right book for this group. You are welcome to come by and take a look when ever you'd like.
hugs,
Jupiter

I'm excited to start these next week! Are we going to be posting our pictures to this thread?
I know that pictures of foundation blocks aren't going to be the most exciting, but I still want to see everyone's!

OK Ladies.....here is my first attempt at applique! I've learned a few things.
1. remember to leave 1/4 inch for folding (didn't twice)
2. cut pieces a little larger so they will fit.
3. Maybe use your focus fabric for the outer pieces.
I posted a piece of my focus fabric and as you can see, it is covered by the applique pieces. Also you can see why I need to cut a little larger, as my green pieces don't go all the way to the inner pieces at the corners. So now I think I am ready to try applique with all of you. I don't do hand sewing so I'm using Sulky's very thin invisible thread to stitch down the pieces.
I'm looking forward to learning from everyone.
