Oh no! I don't have any advice yet - I haven't gotten far enough along to try to get any glue out - and I won't start this week's foundation blocks until the weekend - but I did want to send you a big hug! How frustrating! I hate it when things seem harder than you think they should be. There are some who have done a few of the blocks already, so hopefully you'll get some good advice soon!
Thanks Laura.

I found I had to make my squares 2" not 1 7/8ths to come out right.

Thank you,
Eliz

I am not as far along.... but I can tell you from experience that I have glued a lot of pieces together with the Elmers Glue Sticks... the purple ones... and have never had any staining. Also I put a glued block in the kitchen sink, full of warm water, and left it there for about 3 hours (I forgot it was in there! lol ). I then layed it out on a towel to dry. The next day when it was dry, the paper pieces pulled out really nicely. By the paper being dry when I pulled it, the paper came out as a whole unit. I think if I'd tried to remove the paper when it was wet, it would have shreaded.

Hope that helps some....

hugs, Jupiter

Oh Linda, those batiks are yummy! I could curl up in a quilt like that, real easy. Your foundations look good. I was glad to see that you didn't stitch those 4 little half square triangles together. When I got to that part, I was wondering what to do with them.

hugs, Jupiter

LOL.....I have to confess, I did. Then I thought I already have a pinwheel, so checked which pattern we are going to make up with this foundation and saw that the patches will be the 4 corners. So I made up another set and will rip out the stitches on the first one. Also they end up as 2 1/2, so a bit smaller than the pinwheel foundation.

;-)
