So sorry to hear about your DMIL Dublb. Gosh it is hard when our loved ones get old....been there, done that! Sepsis is can be very dangerous, I'm glad you got her to the hospital as soon as you did. She will be in my prayers, along with Anael's triplets!

QNS I sympathise with your DH, if my toes are cold I'm cold, so hope his little piggies are all toasty warm:D

Carriem, contractors are working on quotes for us, lunch was delicious and I passed on the cheesecake for dessert, must be sick. All afternoon in my sewing room piecing away at B Blocks hope to have them finished tomorrow sssshhhhh don't tell anyone (4 to go)

Bev, I'm so sorry, I hope your DMIL will recover from this.

My DS and DDIL are on their way home now. They just called. Had a bad night (like me) and were told to take it day by day. For now there's nothing they can do, only watching and hoping the one twin will grow a bit so he has a change to survive. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts.

DublB ... good thoughts coming your way for DMIL. And hoping that DGM is continuing improving.

Anael ... what a difficult time for all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you for only the best.

I talked to my son today and this is what he told he. They had a meeting with the gynecologist (spelling?) last night and she told them every scenario is possible. From going home with 3 baby's to going home with none at all. Last is of course worst case scenario. It's also possible the small twin brother is serving like a 'donor' for his brother and that means the small one won't survive.
She told them to be prepared for anything possible, to live day to day and try not to worry too much.
So I took out my embroidery machine and I'm going to make a winter quilt for my grandson. I have to do something and I don't want to make quiltblocks right now.

Honesty re the realities is important from the Dr ... but OUCH how it must sting for all. :(

ITA good therapy for you right now will be something FUN for your DGS.
Did you see these? ... perhaps a project for you to make for him?

I'll be keeping you and all in my prayers.

Those pillow cases are sooooooo cute :D I first have to figure out how your pillow cases work, they're quite different from what we use here.
I embroidered one design and the machine is working on the second one while I write this!

I saw them the other day and thought of you, your DGS and your embroidery capabilities!

Here you be for the basics ......

and of course a gazillion youtube videos

Though, why worry how we do it ... do it the way you normally would, and add on the embroidery! :)

I'm guessing your way has the flap end fold that kind of keeps the pillow inside?

First time right :D :D

I like that style ... just so neat and tidy!

So ... do the embroidery in the middle of the pillow top, then frame it up with some Christmas print.
He'll absolutely love his personalized Santa message! :)
And add to his adoration for his DGMama! :)
