QuiltE what a great quilt rack, now there is no excuse for not taking pics, although do be careful when hanging a quilt.

If I lose/win the coin toss I plan on taking my hexagons to work on while sitting at the hospital. I have started putting the top border on the GFG quilt.

Not sure if DS will spend a few days at home or at his place, all depends on what the doc says, he will have to sleep in his sisters bedroom:D as I have taken over his ( it was the larger bedroom of the two)

The other animal flowers were Snapdragon, DandyLion, Chimp-Pansy, Marygold and Poppy

Have a great day everyone I am going to do some quilting, got distracted yesterday and didn't get as much done as I would have liked.

Felt better this afternoon; worked in the quilt room. Hope I can continue this good feeling this week...only half way through the first of three med cards...then am told to take the antibiotics after that, in about two and half months, they will x-ray again. Seems like that is forever in the future right now...but will take it one day at a time. As long as I can feel like quilting, it will be ok. :o

Love the colors in your wall hanging, Anael. And want to see the blue one when you finish it.

QuiltE, you peeked into my great room and got the quilt hanging idea!! We hung the FWSQ on a closet rod there...length wise, so it fits on the wall, looking like its on a bed, and you are standing at the side of the bed.

JeanieG, go ahead and go above that insurance guy's head that it stuck on his ??? and not doing his job. He needs to be shook up a bit... and you need some action.

Mirabelle, good luck with your son and caring for him. You could "temporary" move the girly things out, and put in his scheme of colors for a short time period. Or not, so it will encourage him to get well quicker!

May you all have a good week! Sunshine for everyone but Dublb, and she gets all the rain this week!

JeanieG ... good for you for speaking up, and don't hold back from here on. Each time, ask for specific commitments/deadlines and don't give them space when the deadlines are not met. Follow up immediately. They'll soon get the message. Your life has been severely affected, and it needs to get back to normal. I keep wondering if your health problems were a result of the problems. Yes, stress, but also, thinking of moulds that got released into the air as a result ... and you breathed in to make you sick. Suggest moving out to a hotel at their expense, and I bet things will start to move quickly!

QNSue ... feeling better is good, though don't go back into full gear for awhile! Keep the slower pace, and let yourself get better.

MiraB ... ha! there's only one problem with the location ... I doubt I can get the distance to get pics. We'll see when I get the Pony hung. It'll still have to have it's bottom turned up as just not enough height. There's no where else in my home with a large open wall. :( Yea for your GFG progress!

Just finished reading all the posts from the last few days. I love sitting down with yinz and catching up. I worked an extra day this week. This is Jan's Law of Economics: work an extra day, FART an extra day. Yes, I went on 2 FARTs last week and spent 2 days paychecks LOL. Haven't done any sewing in a week but I've petted a lot of fabric. I know Anne is working a lot; wonder if she's been shopping, too.

Mirab, did your son have his surgery? Hope he does well.

QNS, you know time is the best healer. Rest and let those meds work.

Anael, beautiful pic with your new camera. I love your wall hanging-very nice pattern and color choices.

QE, you are smart & thrifty. I did something similar for my flannel wall; since flannel is so light I just used Command Strips hooks and a cafe curtain rod to hold it up. I may have to try the heavier wooden mounts for the quilt above my fireplace-it sort of sags down in the middle.

Jeanie, I'm having as much trouble with the insurance people with my car. They're trying to say it was "an act of God" that a wire fell down. I'm sorry, God makes tornadoes and things, not wires fall down. Took car into shop today so we'll see what happens.

Bev-good luck on your new house--it's a beauty; lots of quilting space!

Carrie & Ggal, hi to ya. You must be busy sewing up a storm.

Question for yinz: do you have a recipe for Scottish Eggs? I think they're hard boiled eggs wrapped in some kind of meatloafy stuff and baked. I've googled and looked in cook books but can't find a recipe. My DS took us to a Pirates game yesterday and they had these on the menu and he mentioned he loves them but not many restaurants offer them. Thought I'd ask you first since so many of you are good cooks.

Have a great day today. No extra work for me this week (I hope) but I have got to clean my upstairs. It's so dusty that MrJanRn sneezes every time he goes up there.

Jan, I found a recipe but I don't know if this is what you had. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/scotcheggs_85851

I love your law of economics :)

Anael - more beautiful Sylvia blocks!

Jan - I just googled Scotch Eggs. It came up with lots of recipes. Evidently the hard boiled eggs are wrapped in a sausage mixture, then rolled in various toppings (cornflakes, breadcrumbs, etc.) and either baked or deep fat fried. I remember having these before, but for the life of me cannot remember when!

Anael, great job on the blocks.

Laies, you were quick to post recipes and I thank you, too. No luck in my cookbooks. Off to town. DH had a another flat tir on his tractor this morning. Feeling better. Fixed lunch, cleaned up kitchen and worked in the quilting room, resizing an 18 inch block down to 12 inches. Whew!

Oh wow, so much has gone on since I logged on. I can't even remember what I wanted ta say ta each o' ya.
Dh & I had a bad day yesterday. We just missed our DDad's. We took it out on each other. We snapped & argued w/each other all day. Finally, in the late evenin', we apologized ta each other & I cried on his shoulder for about 30 min.s.
We have a contract, any number o' things can go wrong between now & July 24 when we are supposed ta close. Inspections start this week & we have a 10 day back out period. Then the appraisals start. The bank doesn't want ta pay for the appraisal if we are just gonna back out. Then we will have ta try ta git any repairs done that the bank wants done before they will give us a mortgage. (I'm prayin' that there isn't any o' those.) The owners are sayin' they are sellin' it "as where is." Since this a conventional loan I sure hope we don't have this problem. When we tried ta buy a house 2 years ago, this was what finally kept us from gittin' it. (It was a conventional loan also.) We will try ta fix up & sell our house after we move out o' it.
