Jenniky, was he good looking? If not, give us the description and we'll all hit him as we walk by.

I have more salsa that I would share. Daughter's graduation isn't for another couple weeks, so what I have stashed is available.

Flying geese???? I might have to do wonky ones, as they aren't my favorite. Will have to look at the instructions again.

Did everyone see that my quilt was chosen for free quilting by Darby. I can't wait to see what she does with it. My lucky day. WOW

Congrats on having your quilt chosen for free quilting. Im sure Darby will add her TLC to your own to make a very lovely quilt. Oh and can you believe it was my hubby who goosed me.. That man is always playing tricks on me...but I love him :) :) :) :) :) I have to tell you all what a wonderful man he is though. I was working on grandaughters quilt today. My goal was to get all of the squares cut and prepped for sewing. Long story short. Needed more of the yellow fabric. Gave him sample and the sku# and off to JoAnn's he went for me. Came back successful.. Three hours later I ran out of The Hot Pink.. I thought he might balk at going again. But off he went and this time I didnt have the sku..but he got the right fabric . I was so proud of him. Because I was able to continue working while he did the running. I was able to complete all the cutting and prep work. " So I say, JOB Well Done my Loving Hubby!" :)

Wrong information -- so sorry

I GOT TO THINKING ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE GEESE, AS ASKED EARLIER THIS MORNING. I GOOFED.

I said that the finished size was going to be 5-1/2 x 2-3/4 -- don't where my head was, but that is the size that will show when all is sewn together. It is NOT the size you will be making.

When you cut your rectangles, they will be 6" x 3-1/4" and the squares will be 3-1/4" That part is correct. When the squares are sewn onto the rectangels, the size of the block you end up with, will be 6" x 3-1/4".

And I guess that you could use the E Burns flying geese ruler to make 6 x 3 geeese. Just trim down the 3-1/4 background squares to 3" square instead of 3-1/4". Don't remember my reasoning behind making them a bit bigger. I truly hope I haven't thrown a monkey wrench into the works and confused everyone.

I am so sorry for the confusion. You gals must think I'm a nut case.

Judy, I have come to know you very well and you are a nut case as am I.

Hurrah, for Jenniky's hubby. It sounds like you got a winner!!!

Thanks for the clarification, judy! No worries. I thought I would use the 3" x 6" Quilt in a Day flying geese ruler and just trim. If you've never used her flying geese rulers you really should try them. Whenever possible I use them because the flying geese come out perfect every time. Great directions come with each size of ruler. Anyway I love using them.

Yup, definitely a keeper. I bet he didn't come home with a bunch of stuff you didn't need either. Much safer to send the hubby. ;)

Yes, you know me all too well, Florence. But maybe that's why we get along, birds of a feather and all that. LOL

I agree always safer to send Hubby :) :) :). Now for these Flying Geese. I think I will make some using test fabric first. I'm not sure I have ever made them before in a pattern. Unless it was within a PP. I do know that these flying geese seem to be coming my way. They are also included in the quilt pattern I am making for my grandaughter so it looks like time to get busy.

Have a wonderful Evening all. :)

to finish at 5 1/2 x 2 3/4 the geese unit would need to be 6 x 3 1/4 unless two of the seams will be 1/8 inch instead of 1/4 inch........getting a headache
