5 Things You Didn't Know about........
#111
1. I worked for the University of Il for 30 years and retired at age 51.
2. After numerous miscarriages and a tubal pregnancy I finally had my first and only child at 45 yrs old. (I retired so that I could go to all the school parties and be a "room mother".
3. I joined a Pentacostal church 5 1/2 yrs ago and love it. That's why my hair is around 4' long and I haven't worn slacks, jeans or shorts since joining my church--only dresses no matter what. I also love that!
4. I first learned to sew on a machine at 3 yrs old, learned to embroider and crochet before starting kindergarten.
5. I'm also an artist but since developing an allergy to oils I've stuck to acrylics and Prisma color pencils. I'll do decorative, rosemalling, scenery and stills but prefer to do portraits in pencil. I don't make wall hangings for myself because my walls are covered with painting. Some by me, some by sisters, some by an aunt.

1. Will celebrate 75th birthday and 50th wedding anniversary in 2012, Lord willing.
2. Hubby and I sold our home and moved into our 40-ft RV the same day we retired.
That was 13 years ago, have visited (camped in) 49 US states and all provinces
of Canada. Still much to see and more wonderful people to meet.
3. Have loved quilts since I was young enough to play under grandmother's quilt
frame but did not make my first quilt until 2 years ago. Finishing 6th quilt now.
4. Hubby and I both have cochlear implants and hearing aids and a hearing assist
miniature schnauzer. It is wonderful being able to talk with each other.
5. We winter in Surprise, AZ and summer in Michigan where our children and
grandchildren reside.
